About Call the Midwife

A BBC drama set in the 50s, Call the Midwife follows the stories of midwives working in the East London, nursing convent, Nonnatus House. The show’s plot builds off the memoirs off of British nurse and musician, Jennifer Worth. Created by Heidi Thomas, Call the Midwife debuted in 2012 and, since its first launch, has racked up significant levels of success. The producers have reported they plan to produce a second series to the popular show.
